One R.A.C.E. Relationships as Christ Envisioned
Mission Statement: To use the platform of athletics to unite and develop emerging urban youth leaders who will passionately build and restore themselves and their communities to reflect the Kingdom of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:16-21, 1John 4:4)
Vision: To become a visible demonstration of reconciliation and unity that was intended for Christ centered relationships. (Revelations 7:9-10, Revelations 5:6-10, Luke 4:18-19)
Our Ministry Philosophy:
With Jesus Christ as the Common Denominator and athletics as the venue, we seek to transform the young leaders in our community by confronting the myths that have led to racism and systemic inequalities and to cast a new vision of hope for our youth that provides resources and cross–cultural partnerships to empower, equip and bring justice to our urban youth. (Acts 10:34-35, Acts 4:32-39, Galatians 3:26-29)
Our Approach With Urban Youth:
Foremost, is to love them, live life with them and inspire them to a vision that is bigger than themselves and their circumstances. We believe this is achieved by knowing God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. (John 13:34-35, John 3:16, Luke 10:25-37) One R.A.C.E Huddle Leaders
